A2 Live in concert, Takes it to the 10th Degree

A2 LIVE IN CONCERT

A2 takes being independent to the 10th degree, having mastered & mixed, produced and written nearly all his music to date, by himself. His artistry and love for his craft are apparent; having eight mixtapes and one album so far across six years. I’ve been a fan him for a while, but personally haven’t seen him until now, and needless to say, A2 did not disappoint.

With a catalog as extensive as A2s’ managing to get through all of “all spill” (the tour’s namesake project) most of “project purple” (neither project have been previously ever performed live), going back to play all his fan favourites. Accompanying him was a small band to perform acoustic renditions of Solo, Gold and other songs giving them beautiful guitar solo’s and keys. Although a solo artist, A2 bought out dotty and JJ to perform their particular features, adding more value to what was already a great show.

“On stage, A2 knows how to hold a crowd and bring his songs to life, showing that he’s more than a bedroom artist.”

For a small venue (scala), the visuals and lighting were exceptional. The stage lights switching between “red”, “blue” and “purple” depending on the song currently being played originated from, alongside this was a video backdrop with a collection of what I can only guess are some of A2’s favourite things; streetfighter, the universe, and videos from his times in the studio.

A2 is a breath of fresh air in the UK right now and an artist in his own lane, with a unique sound. I can’t wait to hear his next release, which with his work rate I’m sure won’t be too long. For all those who missed it this time don’t worry A2 announced at the end of his show, he aims to hold another appearance in a bigger venue early next year. I’m buying my ticket. I hope to see you there!
