This week is dedicated to DC, a musician who comes from south-east London. His long-awaited project has finally arrived and it has honestly been worth the wait. DC had released ‘Neighbourhood’ in May 2020, which was followed by ‘Tears Sweat Blood’ in July that same year. Both songs are reflective and refreshing, contributing to DC’s distinguishable sound. His diverse sound has been upheld by working with producers like TSB, an award-winning producer who has also worked with NSG, J Hus and M1llionz. ‘In The Loop’ is a carefully thought-out project with cohesive themes and sounds that keep listeners in the loop, no pun intended.

The journey the listeners are taken on is a journey filled with explorative musicality and honesty. 'In The Loop' is deeper than the journey, it also about the destination and DC has translated his most intimate thoughts into poetry seamlessly.
I am glad to name DC as the Certified artist of the week because it is well deserved, his hiatus has led him to create a project that has left a mark on the kind of music he makes, music that is direct and conversational. DC is a genre-bending musician who will go beyond the music he has created. It is evident that 'In The Loop' is a fantastic step above the acclaimed 'Under The Influence’. For DC, these are the foundations that will cement his position in U.K. Rap.
