CERTIFIED - JON. | Mellow Demos III has arrived and it is not to be missed

JON has just released his mixtape ’Mellow Demos III’ and what a wonderful body of work he has created. Consisting of six songs the mixtape resembles a testimonial, where JON is depicting his journey as a newly established artist. His sound is refreshing yet familiar, the lyrical content he spits is similar to the forefathers of grime like Dot Rotten and Maxsta. His tone is as smooth as the emergence of alternative rap, similar to the likes of vb or Joe James. The Bristolian artist is someone whose musical identity comes from multiple genres, such as gospel, RnB and rap. His creativity and exploration have allowed him to impressively find his sound this early in the game, a strength that will only benefit him in the long run. JON describes music as a language based on emotions. A language which he has successfully translated into his sound. His relationship with producer Wilfy D has led to the expansive arrangements we hear in ‘Mellow Demos III.' Arrangements that consist of soulful samples, pianos and other unconventional instrumentals that are not typically used in grime. Despite being a new artist, JON’s growth has been rapid, leading to recognition from national radio stations and fellow artists.
